Prices exclude any tax, which is calculated at checkout from your location. Paddle is the merchant of record and handles the payment, the invoice and the tax.

Why it is priced where it is

The desktop tools that do this properly are £50–150 a seat, bought and installed like software, Windows only. Microsoft's own Spreadsheet Compare is no longer installed with Microsoft 365 subscriptions and Inquire is business editions only, so a large and growing share of Excel users cannot get either at any price. This runs on Windows, Mac and the web, installs itself in thirty seconds, and costs a fifth of the desktop tools.

The pain is real but episodic — you need this the week something broke, not every day — which is why the annual plan is the one most people should take.

What happens after you pay

Your key is shown on screen at the end of checkout — it is not emailed. Keep that page open, or paste the key straight into the pane. Lost it? Email support@appgarden.co.uk from the address you paid on.

Neither version is ever modified, on any tier. The report is written as new sheets in the workbook you have open, and the earlier file is only ever read. One of the two is evidence; an add-in that wrote into it would have destroyed the thing you were checking.

Nothing about either workbook crosses the network. Both versions are read on your machine. Only a licence key and an opaque install id ever reach a server.

Both plans are subscriptions and renew until cancelled. Cancel from the receipt Paddle emails you, or by mailing support. Full refund within 30 days of any payment, no reason needed — the refund policy says how.
