Scores the active Excel worksheet for Copilot readiness and explains, for every finding, why Copilot cares.

Email [email protected]. Include the Excel platform you are on (Windows, Mac or the web) and what the pane showed. If a scan reported something you believe is wrong, the workbook itself is the most useful thing you can send — but only send one you are content to share, and see the privacy notice first.

Replies are best-effort, usually within a few working days. There is no phone line.

Using it

Open a worksheet with a table of data on it, then Home › Scan for Copilot Readiness. The pane lists what it found, grouped by how much each problem degrades Copilot's answers, with the reason attached to each one.

The score is 100 minus 18 per blocker and 12 per degrader, floored at zero. It is blunt on purpose — it exists to be compared before and after a cleanup, not to be read as a grade. A sheet only reads Copilot-ready when nothing at all was found.

Known limits

• One worksheet at a time — the active one. Whole-workbook scanning is not built.
• Strict Open XML format and SharePoint check-out state cannot be seen from inside an add-in, so they are never scored. They appear as a manual check instead. A guessed finding would be worse than no finding.
• Excel on Mac and on iPad are untested. The manifest's requirements permit them, so Microsoft lists them, but no verification run has happened on either. Treat results there as unverified and please report anything odd.
• On Excel for Windows, setting calculation mode back to Automatic is silently refused by the host. The pane tells you to change it by hand under Formulas › Calculation Options. That is Excel's behaviour, not a failed fix.

Nothing in your workbook leaves your machine. The scan runs entirely inside the task pane. Details in the privacy notice.
