Form Response Cleaner
Clean up Google Form™ responses in one click. Split checkbox answers, shorten headers, drop duplicates and test entries. Your responses tab is never touched.
Install from the Google Workspace™ Marketplace, or in a spreadsheet choose Extensions › Add-ons › Get add-ons and search for “Form Response Cleaner”.

After: the clean tab
One TRUE/FALSE column per option, short headers, duplicates and test rows gone to the Excluded tab, a filter on. The responses tab itself is byte-identical.

Your data
Your responses never leave Google. The rules run in the sidebar, in your browser. The only network traffic this add-on makes is to the licence server, and only a licence key and an anonymous install id ever cross it. It asks for two scopes and nothing else: this spreadsheet only, plus the sidebar UI. Privacy notice.
FAQ
Will it change my form or my responses? Never. It only reads the responses tab; every output goes to new tabs.
What happens when I edit my form? A new question appears as a new column with a “1 new question: review” banner; a renamed question is offered as a merge; nothing is silently dropped.
Can my colleague refresh it? Yes. The recipe travels with the spreadsheet, so a colleague can Refresh with your saved choices. The licence belongs to the Google account, not the sheet.
Does it work on desktop browsers? Yes — desktop browsers only. It does not run in the Google Sheets™ mobile apps.
Gmail™ and Workspace? Both.
Our admin blocks add-ons. Ask them to allowlist “Form Response Cleaner” from the Google Workspace™ Marketplace; it requests this-spreadsheet-only access.
