How many emails can I send with a mail merge from Gmail™ per day?
Every mail merge that sends through your Gmail™ account is capped twice: once by Google, and again by the merge tool. Hit either cap halfway through and the rest of the list is simply not sent today.
Google's limits
Google publishes daily sending limits for Gmail™, and they are lower for a personal account than for a paid Google Workspace™ account. Mail sent by add-ons and scripts has its own quota, which is lower again. Google changes these figures from time to time, so check the current numbers on Google's own help pages: Gmail™ sending limits in Google Workspace™ and Apps Script™ quotas.
Recipients count individually: one email to three people in To and Cc counts as three.
Your merge tool's limit
Merge tools usually set their own daily cap by plan — small on a free plan, higher when paid — and it is often below Google's. The number that applies to you is on your tool's pricing page. It is worth checking before a large send, because tools change their plans.

Sending a list bigger than the limit
- Count the recipients after removing duplicates and unsubscribes — that is the real number.
- Split the list into daily batches no larger than the lower of the two caps, leaving headroom for ordinary email you send that day.
- Keep a status column so a re-run doesn't send the first batch twice.
